[Kyoto Prefecture/Heian Shrine] A shrine built to commemorate the 1100th anniversary of the transfer of the capital to Heian

Take the bus from Kyoto Station.
When you get off, you'll see a striking vermilion torii gate.
It's 24m high and 18m wide, and is truly impressive.

Further ahead is the Otenmon Gate,
which seems out of place in modern times,
as if you've traveled back in time to the Heian period.
However, it was actually built in the Meiji period.

The grounds are very spacious and well-maintained, with a spectacular view!
