Ninna-ji Temple: A Must-Visit Cherry Blossom Spot in Kyoto

Kyoto's must-visit cherry blossom spot, Ninna-ji Temple, located in Ukyo Ward and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a place of historical and cultural significance. In addition to its iconic attractions such as the National Treasure Golden Hall, the Peacock King painting on silk, the Nio Gate, and the Five-Story Pagoda, the highlight during spring is undoubtedly the "Omuro Sakura" cherry blossoms.

Ninna-ji Temple, often referred to as "Omuro Imperial Palace" due to its history of housing retired emperors and their children who became monks, lends its name to the famous "Omuro Sakura."

The Omuro Sakura at Ninna-ji Temple is renowned for three unique features:
