Dine with the gods at Mt. Mayon

The almost perfect cone shape of Mt. Mayon of Lrgazpi, Albay, Philippines is most comparable to Mt. Fuji of Japan on its perfect cone and grandeur.

One of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines being on the edge of the Pacific Ring of Fire.

Its majestic beauty draws visitors not only over the country but to foreign people as well.

Going there from Manila by Air:

There is a daily trip of airflight from Manila to Legazpi City though in bad weather conditions some flights are cancellee due to zero visibility near the foot of Mt. Mayon.

Going there from Manila by Land:

Everyday there are more than 30 trips of buses from Non-aircon, Aircon, Premiere, Deluxe, and First Class buses from Manila to the Visayas and Mindanao. Since all these buses would really pass by Albay going to Matnog Port in Sorsogon City and travel via 'Ro-Ro' by sea to Allen Port in Northern Samar; you can ride on of these buses and just drop off at Legazpi City.

There are an overwhelming number of inns, hotels, and spaces for rent around Mt. Mayon.

Try to travel around Mt. Mayon if you are a backpackers and enjoy the variety of food, drinks, bars, rides, and 'entertainment' around Mt. Mayon.

Note: People around Mayon are members of the so-called 'Bicolanos' a major people group in the Philippines that is very fond of 'sili' - 'chilli' on their food. They even have 'chilli ice cream' with levels of chilliness that your body is willing to take. #staycation #mountains #volcanoes #albay #philippines #sirroneltravels
