Before setting off, countless people asked me this question. Perhaps it was to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, perhaps it was to challenge my limits, or perhaps it was simply to find an answer.
At 4 am, the night in Lhasa had not yet faded, and I was already on the bus to Lhozhag. Outside the window, the wind was howling, and inside the bus, there were snores rising and falling, but I was unusually awake.
❄️Day 1: First Encounter with Kula Kangri, Heart Racing
Starting from Se Township, I hiked along the winding mountain road, the altitude gradually rising, and my breathing became rapid. But when I looked up and saw the peaks of Kula Kangri, all the fatigue disappeared. The snow-capped peaks shone brightly in the sunlight, like a paradise within reach.
❄️Day 2: Talking to the Sacred Mountain, Tears Flowing
Today's journey was exceptionally difficult, crossing a pass over 5,000 meters above sea level, every step felt like stepping on cotton. But when I stood at the pass and looked down at the Baimalin Lake, tears flowed uncontrollably. The lake was as blue as jade, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds, breathtakingly beautiful. At that moment, I seemed to hear the whispers of the sacred mountain, telling stories of a thousand years.
❄️Day 3: Farewell, for a Better Reunion
On the last day, I chose to sit quietly by the Jiejucuo Lake, watching the sunlight sprinkle on the lake, creating sparkling waves. I knew it was time to say goodbye. But I knew that the emotions and shock this trekking journey brought me would remain in my memory forever.
✨Tips:
The Kula Kangri trekking route is relatively mature, but the altitude is high, it is recommended to do physical training and altitude sickness prevention in advance.
Pay attention to environmental protection during the trek, do not litter.
The weather on the plateau is unpredictable, prepare warm clothing and rain gear.
