Later, during the reign of King Mangrai, Phra Maha Wachiraphothithera brought 50 relics of the Lord Buddha to offer. King Mangrai therefore ordered the construction of another pagoda near the original pagoda. Since then, Phra That Doi Tung has had two pagodas until today.
