The enshrined deity is
Ichikishimahime no Kami
At Munakata Taisha,
Tagitsuhime no Kami is enshrined at Nakatsumiya on Oshima, and Tagorihime no Kami is enshrined at Okitsumiya on Okinoshima.
These are the three goddesses who are the three children of Amaterasu Omikami.
The Hetsumiya is the one enshrined on the mainland.

These three goddesses were born from a vow between Amaterasu Omikami and Susanoo, and were later commanded by Amaterasu Omikami to protect the Genkai Sea in Kitakyushu.

Furthermore, only priests are allowed to set foot on Okinoshima, and the general public pays homage from the seashore on the northern side of Oshima.

At Hetsumiya, there is the main shrine and worship hall, as well as the Second Shrine (Okitsumiya), the Third Shrine (Nakatsumiya), and the Takamiya Shrine, which have ancient shrine buildings inherited from Ise.
There are also quite a few subsidiary shrines, so you'll need plenty of time to see them all.
