Kyoto and Surrounding Areas: Food and Festivals - Gion Matsuri, Nara, Shiga

Kyoto is not far from Lake Shiga, and I highly recommend staying at the Prince Hotel in Shiga. If you're heading towards Shiga, you can easily plan a one-day trip or a two-day, one-night itinerary.

Additionally, taking the train to Nara's Todai-ji Temple is very convenient. The adorable deer and the Great Buddha are must-see attractions.

Minced Meat and Rice in Kyoto
The charcoal-grilled hamburger steak is truly delicious—juicy and tender without being dry. With various ways to enjoy it, I ordered a set meal and added one more piece, but honestly, 3+1 pieces were still not enough. Every bite was a perfect combination of charcoal aroma, meat juices, and rice, complemented by different seasonings or mixed with egg sauce. I wanted to shout out loud, but the aroma was simply irresistible.
