Nara is beyond just wild deers

In a day trip to Nara from Osaka (or Kyoto), what one really shouldn’t miss out is Todai-ji, which is my favourite Buddhist temple in Japan.

The compound is HUGE. What people normally go to is the main hall (Daibutsuden), which is shockingly mega in size along with the statues inside it. The photo here simply couldn’t do justice to it.

But aside from the main hall, I personally also recommend Nigatsu-do, which is at the highest ground of the entire temple and serve as a good sunset spot. Many photographers (and couples) were there waiting for a good shot.
