Access: 15 minutes on foot from the Funai Central Exit (North Exit) of JR Oita Station

This is a veranda museum open to the city, designed by famous architect Shigeru Ban, with the concept of a "museum of the five senses" and a "museum of encounters." It's so stylish that even just walking around is exciting.
