New landmark in Osaka!! Unboxing the Osaka PATINA Hotel that just opened in May!

Celebrated my birthday here, and everything inside is really new! The views from the rooms and the restaurant are truly unique!

Maybe because it just opened, the non-alcoholic drinks in the minibar are all free, and they even gave a welcome fruit plate (which is already quite nice in Japan).
Dinner was decent, nothing special except for the night view of Osaka Castle, so I don’t particularly recommend it. But breakfast was really rich and delicious. You can freely enjoy nuts, oats, quinoa, and avocado, which are usually expensive in Japan. Highly recommend adding breakfast!

Also, the body lotion and shampoo provided by the hotel were unanimously considered by me and my girlfriend to be among the best we’ve ever used in a hotel — the shampoo doesn’t leave hair dry or unclean, and the body lotion absorbs quickly, isn’t sticky, and smells great.

However, I personally found two drawbacks:
⚠️ Everything costs extra! Using the hotel parking lot for self-driving is 5,000 yen/night, and valet parking adds another 2,000 yen (which is outrageous since the parking lot is right next to the hotel, less than a minute’s walk). Window seat reservations, birthday decorations, etc., all require additional fees. If the hotel doesn’t have the items you need, they charge a 15% purchasing service fee.
⚠️ The location is a bit awkward, far from the station, and not very convenient for driving either. However, it seems you can book a shuttle service from the hotel to Morinomiya Station.
