Photos 1-3: Himeji Castle, a magnificent complex visible right from the station, a genuine historic site that survived World War II, hard to imagine it’s made of wood and plaster.

Photos 4-6: Osaka Castle, a newly built replica, surprisingly even has an elevator.

Photos 7-9: Nagoya Castle, similar to above, just with a slightly different style.

Photos 10-12: Wakayama Castle, also a reconstructed building, but on a smaller scale.
