2025 Osaka Expo "Omagari Fireworks" Japan's Finest Brilliance

〈Osaka Expo Fireworks Festival Report〉

Q Where did you watch from?
A Left side facing the West Gate
*The large roof ring and the front were quickly restricted for entry

Q What time did the fireworks start?
A There was no announcement; it started suddenly. The time on the first photo was 19:48

Q Can you see it from anywhere inside the venue?
A Officially, it was said to be visible, but the view varies. Some see a large part of it, others see the whole display more compactly

Q Any points to note?
A Strongly recommend booking transportation for the return trip. Although the East Gate is very close to the station, the congestion causes over an hour’s walk. The West Gate buses (reservation required) were fully booked, and the general taxi stand had a long queue. The crowd was so intense you might worry if you can get home the same day. I booked a taxi, but there was an announcement that if you were late for your reservation, you couldn’t ride. It was chaos everywhere.

Q Taxi fare
A About 8,000 yen from the West Gate to JR Osaka Station. If you get off at a station near the Expo, you can’t get on the first train because of the Expo crowd, and there are also Universal Studios Japan visitors, so you can’t get on. I recommend paying to go all the way to Osaka Station!

Q Is it worth going that much?
A Despite the heat, crowds, and not being able to reserve pavilion tickets, the Osaka Expo "Omagari Fireworks" was incredibly moving. I’m glad I went.

Finally, there are still chances to see fireworks at the Osaka Expo, so please check your schedule and carefully consider your return transportation before going.
