Tojinbo is a national natural monument located in Echizen Kaga Coast National Park.
It is characterized by the spectacular scenery of giant columnar rocks stretching along the coastline for about 1 km🌊
This large-scale columnar jointing of dacite is rare worldwide and is a very valuable geological site.
The rock surface looks soft at first glance, but the columnar rocks, which are said to have been formed when lava cooled and solidified, are very hard, and the scenery of Tojinbo can be said to be a work of art created over a long period of time by these rocks that have endured the rough waves of the Sea of Japan🪨
I went there after being told by the innkeeper that the sunset was beautiful, but there were clouds on the day, so I couldn't see the sunset properly, but the sky was a beautiful color☺️🫶🏽
