[Fukui] Stunning natural beauty ✨ Tojinbo

Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture. Tojinbo is a designated natural monument and scenic spot of the country. It is a huge columnar joint that stretches for about 1 km along the coastline in northern Fukui Prefecture. It is one of Fukui's top tourist spots and is also famous as a location for filming dramas. You can see the beautiful Sea of Japan and the impressive cliffs. The highest cliff in Tojinbo, called Oike, is 25 meters high, and there is also a place called Senjojiki where you can go down to the shore. The sun set at 6:20 on this day, so this time I went to Tojinbo, which I had always wanted to go to, to see the sunset. It was a weekday, but there were quite a few people there. There were a few shops, so you can enjoy gourmet food and shopping, but the shops were closed when I went. I was simply moved by the magnificent view created by nature. The sunset was hidden by clouds and I couldn't see it, but it's a spot I would like you to visit at least once. However, when I looked down at the sea from the cliff, my legs were quite shaking. There are no handrails, so if you slip, it will be a big problem, so please be careful when walking. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 📍Spot name: Tojinbo Tojinbo, Yasushima, Mikuni-cho, Sakai-shi, Fukui Prefecture 🚃From Tokyo, take the Hokuriku Shinkansen for about 3 hours, then take the Keifuku bus from Awara Onsen Station to Tojinbo for about 40 minutes
