🌟 Finally, after 25 years of anticipation, I set foot on the land of Hokkaido and embarked on this long-awaited winter journey. Although I have only completed half of the trip (from Sapporo to Noboribetsu, and then to Lake Toya), every step has been filled with surprises and emotions. Now, let me reveal the secrets of this beautiful journey to you!
🌨️ Lake Toya: The epitome of a winter wonderland
Arriving at Lake Toya, I felt like I had entered a dreamlike world of ice and snow. The snowy scenery here needs no filters, and every snapshot is a breathtaking photo. Mount Yotei is majestic and spectacular, comparable to Mount Fuji. I played in the snow, enjoying the unique fun of winter.
To my surprise, although the temperature also reached minus 15 degrees, the cold in Hokkaido was not as biting as in the northeast. Even without gloves, I could easily take out my phone to capture these beautiful moments. This comfortable temperature made me enjoy this trip even more.
🌃 Noboribetsu: A dual experience of hot springs and Hell Valley
Noboribetsu is a hot spring resort in Hokkaido, known as the number one hot spring in Japan. Here, I enjoyed two days of ultimate comfort in the hot springs. The warm and comfortable hot spring water seemed to wash away the fatigue of the journey. Although there are not many food options in Noboribetsu, the NOBOJIN restaurant downstairs at the hotel surprised me. The delicious combination of sukiyaki and barbecue left me with endless aftertastes.
Of course, Hell Valley in Noboribetsu is also a must-see attraction. A faint smell of sulfur permeates the air, making you feel like you are in a mysterious world. The scenery here is unique and spectacular, making it a great place for photos.
🍖 Sapporo: A perfect blend of food and culture
As the capital of Hokkaido, Sapporo is full of rich cultural atmosphere and culinary temptations. Here, I tasted the delicious dishes at Kushi U Izakaya and felt the warmth and hospitality of the people of Sapporo. The Sapporo milk ice cream at the JR station building left a deep impression on me. Even at 8:45 pm, there were still many people lining up to buy it. I was lucky to get the last one, and the rich milk flavor and not-too-sweet taste made me intoxicated.
In addition, I also plan to try the curry soup next to Tanukikoji to satisfy my cravings. I believe the food there will bring me more surprises.
