The Sapporo Beer Museum is a must-visit for teenagers like us. It's not just about beer, it also boasts a rich history, amazing photo opportunities, and some seriously awesome food!
The Hip Red Brick Building (Vibe Architecture)
The building is a European-style building made from red bricks dating back to Hokkaido's earliest days! It looks classic, vintage, and has the feel of an old factory. Most importantly, it's incredibly photogenic!
Photo Spot: Take a photo with the red brick building, contrasting with the Sapporo red star logo, or with the tall chimneys for a European feel without having to go far!
Learn Cool History
This is the only beer museum in Japan! Walk through the history of Sapporo Beer, one of Japan's first beer brands, and see ancient brewing equipment. (Admission is free in some areas!)
For those who love to experiment, even those under 20 can try a selection of soft drinks, or take an adult for a paid tasting set of three beer flavors!
A fiery Genghis Khan BBQ!
A must-try is the adjacent Sapporo Beer Garden! It's home to the famous Genghis Khan (grilled lamb on a helmet-shaped pan).
The All-You-Can-Eat buffet offers unlimited grilled lamb, beef, and pork, paired with rice and fresh vegetables, in a lively, old-world beer hall atmosphere. It's a delicious, filling, and incredibly worthwhile meal! (There's also a youth menu and a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages!)
