Dawanshi Residence, Shenzhen | A Niche and Quiet Ancient Village

| A niche and quiet ancient village. Recently, Shenzhen has been flourishing everywhere. I wanted to find a place with fewer people to stroll around 🚶‍♀️, and then I discovered this!
Dawanshi Residence!!
It is an ancient Hakka village. 💃🏻 Those of you who like cultural landscapes like me must go and see it!
It was built during the Qianlong period 🙀 and is one of the most completely preserved square Hakka walled houses, with great historical value!
As one of the top ten Hakka ancient villages in Shenzhen, Dawanshi Residence is not only a historical and cultural site, but also an important place for studying Hakka culture. It has now been transformed into a Hakka museum and is open to the public.
The walled house retains many original architectural features and traces of life, including the inscription "Dawanshi Residence" on the gate tower, the He Ping, the crescent-shaped pond, and the flagpole stone. These all witness the Hakka people's reproduction and cultural heritage in the Lingnan area.
Dawanshi Residence not only carries rich historical information, but is also a window for modern people to understand the traditional Hakka lifestyle and architectural art.
