🏯Tainan Anping Tree House, Zhu Jiuying's Former Residence, and Deji Foreign Trade Company: A Comprehensive Experience of Historical Sites🏡

Located in Anping District, Tainan City, Taiwan, the Anping Tree House, Zhu Jiuying's Former Residence, and the Tak Kee Trading Company are part of the same scenic area, representing an important historical and cultural showcase. The Anping Tree House, originally a warehouse for the Tak Kee Trading Company, was built between the late 19th century and the early years of the Japanese colonial period. After years of neglect, it was covered by the tangled roots of a banyan tree and renovated in 2004. The Zhu Jiuying Former Residence, the residence of Zhu Jiuying, former Director of the Salt Administration of the Ministry of Finance, was built as a dormitory for the Taiwan Salt Administration during the Japanese colonial period and later renovated into a memorial hall showcasing his calligraphy. The Tak Kee Trading Company, established in 1867, was a trading base for the British firm Tak Kee Trading Company in Anping. It was one of the five major trading companies in the late Qing Dynasty and is now a Class III historical site and a wax museum showcasing Taiwan's pioneering history. Since 2012, these three attractions have been under the unified management of the Tainan City Government, with unified ticketing, making them popular tourist destinations in the Anping area. The attraction is divided into three main areas. The Anping Tree House, renowned for its unique symbiosis of trees and buildings, features a wooden boardwalk for visitors. The Zhu Jiuying Former Residence showcases calligraphy and Zhu Jiuying's life, featuring a calligraphy wall and exhibition room. The Deji Foreign Trade Company exhibits wax figures and trade documents, preserving its British architectural style. A full ticket costs NT$70, covering all three attractions, including a rest area and souvenir shop. Winter weather is cool, so a light jacket is recommended. Some activities may require reservations, so confirm in advance.
