Luye Plateau, located in Luye, Taitung, is the venue for the Taitung Hot Air Balloon Festival. It is located in a remote area and requires driving to reach, but there are so many people that it is difficult to find a parking space. We went there early in the morning this time and did not attend the hot air balloon festival, so we avoided the crowds.

The entire high platform grassland is vast and very suitable for children to play. There are also many high-altitude gliding shops around. You can see many people playing in the air and finally landing below the platform. There is also an observation deck next to it where you can see the scenery of the entire Luye area, but the weather was very hot and there were few shops, so we didn't stay there for long.

If you are not here for the hot air balloon festival, you can let the children play on the grassland and the adults can go paragliding. There are many people coming to the hot air balloon festival, and you can sit on the grassland and watch the hot air balloons. It is very hot in summer, so it is recommended to bring more water and an umbrella.
