Afterwards, I wandered the adjacent Old Samurai Residence District, where several well-preserved homes are open to the public.
· Evening – Local Sake & Black Soybean Delights: I explored the charming town center, known for its Tamba black soybeans. I found a local izakaya to try regional dishes like Tamba-gyu (beef) and sampled sake from nearby breweries, reflecting on the quiet sophistication of this historic castle town.
