[Tokyo Food Diary] Asakusa Yokomachi - Delicious Eel Rice in the Food Court

Located near Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa Yokomachi is a small shopping mall in one building, with Uniqlo on the first floor. There’s food, shopping, and entertainment. Since we arrived late, unlike the long lines at Ichiran Ramen nearby, the food court on the fourth floor of Asakusa Yokomachi was a great choice for us 👍.

The food court on the fourth floor of Asakusa Yokomachi is decorated with a Japanese festival theme, with very thoughtful decorations. There are colorful and dazzling signs, and the shops hang lanterns 🏮, wind chimes 🎐, and more, creating a very authentic Japanese atmosphere. There are many restaurant options, including the popular monjayaki and eel rice introduced by influencers, as well as skewers, izakaya, and more, making it perfect for groups wanting to try different kinds of food.

We chose to eat eel rice at the corner shop. The owner and staff were very friendly, and the eel was grilled to a flavorful, savory perfection—very delicious 😋. After eating, you can even draw a fortune slip, making it a fun experience. For those who don’t want to wait in line, this is a great option!
