Changting Ancient City, located in Changting County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, is the world's Hakka capital and one of the four famous cities in Fujian. It was praised by international friend Rewi Alley as "the most beautiful mountain city in China". For more than a thousand years from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Changting has been the seat of state, county, road and prefecture in successive dynasties. Its long history has left behind many cultural relics and it is listed in the third batch of national historical and cultural cities.
