🌿🏘️ Dean Village

This wasn’t on a checklist ✅ We found it by drifting, stepping away from the centre, over a quiet bridge, and suddenly the noise dropped. Dean Village 🏘️ felt like it had its own rhythm. Cobbled paths, soft moss on stone, little bursts of wildflowers growing wherever they pleased. The Water of Leith moved beside us, calm and slow, like it had nowhere to be.

I remember a tiny balcony with laundry swaying in the sun ☀️ a boy riding a bike too fast and laughing, a woman walking her dog who nodded as we passed like we belonged there too. No rush. No angles for photos 📸 Just stillness. We didn’t talk much. Just walked and looked and let ourselves fall into that kind of quiet you don’t often get in cities.

It was beautiful — not in a dramatic way, but in the kind of way that makes you breathe differently. Like the world softened just a little, just for you. Perfect for summer ☀️
