Wat Chak Kong, spinning the windmill to boost the fortune of those who believe in superstitions

Che Kong Temple or Windmill Temple | Che Kong Temple 🛕
A famous temple with a name that has been around for more than 300 years, it was built to commemorate General 'Che Kong', a warrior in the Song Dynasty who came with a legend that a group of pirates were going to rob the villagers. When General Che Kong found out about it, he told the villagers to fold windmills and put them in front of their houses as many as possible. When the pirates passed through the village, they passed by without any robberies, causing the villagers to believe that the windmills would blow away evil and bring in good things. 🍃

People who feel that their lives are stuck and have obstacles tend to come to worship and pray at Che Kong Temple and turn the windmills to turn their lives around, helping them turn bad things into good things.

You can buy a set of incense and candles to worship at the temple for 70-80 HKD per set. Take the set of offerings to write your prayers and bring the incense to light in the area provided by the temple. After that, you can come to worship and pray in the front yard and then go to worship the statue of Lord Che Kong inside the pavilion. After praying, go to perform the windmill spinning ceremony to make life turn in a good direction and end with beating the drum three times. Let it be known throughout the sky and earth.

In addition, inside the temple, there are also souvenirs for worship, such as windmills, key chains, gold plates, gold gourds, etc. for those who want to worship.
