Shatoujiao Restricted Area Cultural and Ecological Tourism

In January 2024, the Security Bureau launched the "Phase II Sha Tau Kok Opening Scheme," expanding the open area to the entire Sha Tau Kok restricted zone (excluding Chung Ying Street). Tourists only need to apply for an electronic restricted zone permit. After submitting the application form and collecting all required documents, the approval process is usually completed in about two working days. The daily tourist quota is 3,000 people. This initiative is in line with the Northern Metropolitan Area development strategy, aiming to develop Sha Tau Kok, a place of historical significance and unique characteristics with the potential for recreation and tourism development. There are many photo spots there, making it well worth a visit.
