I was lucky enough to see the spectacular rime in Jilin!

Snow is common in the north, but rime is unique to Jilin!
At dawn, mist rises from the Songhua River, creating a fairyland. Soon, rime begins to "sprout" and then covers the branches, quietly blooming!

When the mist dissipates, the northern landscape is breathtaking! The rime is truly a sight to behold!

The rime is formed because the Songhua River maintains a water temperature of 4°C after passing through the Fengman Hydropower Station upstream.

The river flows through the city, creating a huge temperature difference with the cold river surface. The evaporated water vapor greatly increases the humidity of the surrounding air, which condenses in the morning, creating this stunning rime!
