Take the Hankyu Railway to Kyoto. Due to an accident on the Kyoto Line, we arrive in Kyoto about 20 minutes late. We catch a taxi and participate in the second Kyoto Heian-jingu Afternoon Tea.
Even if it's a taxi, Kyoto's traffic congestion is well known, so we couldn't overcome it and were about 5 minutes late. We were 15 minutes late based on the meeting time. Fortunately, we were allowed to join the middle, so we held hands with the staff and ran 400 meters to Heian-jingu.
This is an event where 20 people per day can visit the inside of a place that is usually closed to the public, and only on Thursdays and Fridays in November for about 4 weeks. We went there because the staff there helped us while we were participating in an afternoon tea at another place with the same group.
We will tour the inner shrine of Heian-jingu for about 30 minutes with a docent, and then freely explore for 30 minutes. The inner shrine visitation certificate bookmark and ema are also included, and the Shin-en fee (600 yen) is included, so 2,000 yen is not expensive. I used to go to Shin-en during the cherry blossom season.
After the tour, you can enjoy a Kyoto-style afternoon tea set with a window view of Heian Shrine from the inside, where you can feel the peak of autumn. The service was a bit lacking, but the view made everything worth it. Thank you.
