Introduction to the architectural features of Yanyiwei|Over 300 years of defensive Hakka architecture

Yanyiwei is a typical defensive Hakka walled village, built in 1650 and taking 27 years to complete. The entire building is four stories high, with walls 1.45 meters thick and over 14 meters high, giving it a strong sense of fortress.

The interior structure of the walled house is compact, and the walkways and stairs are all made of wood. Although it is very old, it still remains stable. According to local sources, this walled house has never been breached despite many wars in the past, demonstrating its solid structure and ingenious design.
