This is another historically significant temple from the Ayutthaya period, located in the heart of the city within the Ayutthaya Historical Park, near Wat Ratchaburana, a popular tourist attraction.
The temple complex boasts numerous remaining structures, showcasing the architectural beauty of this era. These include a large main prang, a medium-sized prang, the Supreme Patriarch's residence, and an octagonal chedi. A must-see for tourists is the "Buddha's Head in the Roots of a Bodhi Tree." This sandstone Buddha image, crafted from the Ayutthaya period, is encased in large tree roots, creating a unique beauty that has earned it the title of "Unseen." Anyone visiting Ayutthaya should definitely stop by and explore. The admission fee is only 10 baht.
