📍Makomanai Kitano Cemetery

Makomanai Takino Cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries in Hokkaido.

It was on the way from Noboribetsu Onsen to Sapporo, so I stopped by.

The Moai statues lined up in a row are much more impressive than they look in photos, and I was overwhelmed🗿

In the back, there is a large Buddha statue that is about the same size as the Great Buddha of Kamakura. It is also called the "Head Buddha" because its head pops out of the ceiling🪷

Although it is a cemetery, it is a park cemetery, so it has a bright atmosphere that makes it easy for tourists to visit.
