Nezu Shrine is located in Bunkyo District, Tokyo. It is an ancient shrine with a history of more than 1,900 years. It is also one of the few shrines in Tokyo that retains the architectural style of the Edo period. The shrine is famous for its unique architecture and natural scenery, especially the Azalea Festival every spring! 🌸🌺
Every year from mid-April to early May, it is said that 3,000 azaleas are in full bloom in Nezu Shrine, and the entire garden is a dreamy pink and purple color💜💗, attracting many tourists to come and enjoy. There are also many food stalls and traditional activities during the festival, which is very lively📸
In addition to the azaleas, the vermilion torii tunnel in the shrine is also a must-photograph spot! There are beautiful small ponds and trees surrounding the area, perfect for a walk and relaxation🌿
Best season to visit: Azalea Festival from mid-April to early May🌷
