As I went up Saga,
a Western-style building caught my eye💕💕
Three buildings remain on the large grounds: a Western-style building, a Japanese-style building, and a billiards room.
The mansion was designed by Josiah Conder, a British architect who is also known for the Rokumeikan, which was built as part of the Europeanization policy.
Flash photography is prohibited inside the mansion.
Stunning decorations can be seen everywhere,
the pillars of the staircase are decorated with leather cord patterns💕
The ceiling is also covered in silk Japanese embroidery leather💕
The verandas on the first and second floors are also built in different styles.
A Japanese-style building that values Shoin-zukuri architecture.
It is said that it was 1860m2 when it was completed...
Today, only the large hall remains.
A little away from the Western-style building is the billiard room.
Inside there is precious gold-leaf leather wallpaper...
I think it is a great place for lovers of historical buildings.
