In addition to shopping crazy in Osaka and Kyoto ꜱʜᴏᴘᴘɪɴɢ, my favorite thing is to learn about local specialties and culture in the suburbs of Noh✨
Kyoto is a place rich in historical and cultural heritage
The shops and streets and alleys exude a unique charm
If you have been to Kyoto many times I recommend a walk in the neighboring Uji! ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ
You can visit the World Cultural Heritage Site while tasting tea🤩

"Uji Matcha" is a general term for all matcha produced in Uji, Kyoto. Local tea farmers in Uji still use the ancient technology🍵

Transportation 🚝:
Between Kyoto and Nara About 1 hour from Osaka
It takes about 20-30 minutes from Kyoto

➺Half-day itinerary:

Uji ꜱᴛᴀʀʙᴜᴄᴋꜱ (30 minutes) ➡️ Byodo-in (1-2 hours) ➡️ Kyoto Duck ᴋɪᴛᴄʜᴇɴzen (1 hour) ➡️ᴀᴍᴀᴛɪꜱᴛᴀ ᴄᴏꜰꜰᴇᴇ Coffee Bean Specialist (15-30 minutes) ➡️ Ujibashi (15-30 minutes) ➡️ Yunshang Tea House (1 time)

2️⃣ Byodo-in
World Heritage Site (Private Villa of the Genji Family)
Inside there is also an exhibition hall introducing history and different artifacts to see great

3️⃣ Peking duck ᴋɪᴛᴄʜᴇɴ good
Mainly duck restaurants
I ate their duck burger and duck one-person hot pot. They were delicious! The hamburger duck meat is not dry at all
Personally, I prefer the duck hot pot. The soup is very rich! And lots of onions😳
(Excellent value for money, the whole meal is quite cheap ~ $140)

4️⃣ ᴀᴍᴀᴛɪꜱᴛᴀ ᴄᴏꜰꜰᴇᴇ coffee bean specialty store
A small shop linking the origin of coffee beans
There are a variety of coffee beans and hand-brewed coffee to taste
I ordered 3 drinks there and it was good ( ́▽`) and cheap
ɢᴏᴏɢʟᴇ There is a reason for such a high score!

5️⃣ Uji Bridge
The oldest existing bridge in Japan
There is a statue of Genji Monogatari Purple Shikibu at the bridge 💁🏻♀️

6️⃣ Yunshang Tea House 📍Genji Tale Museum
The Tale of Genji Museum restores the plot of the story
Yun Shang Tea House is located in the museum. This tea house mainly provides tea and desserts
The floor-to-ceiling glass can see the dry landscape. The exterior is so beautiful! (˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵)
But the taste is good green tea flavor out d is good Mainly for photography

First time to ᴜᴊɪ feel good not too many tourists
You can enjoy the thousand-year-old buildings and lots of green tea products! (Matcha Control Heart Eye) I think it's worth a visit if I haven't been there yet😎
