A Stroll Through Gion, Kyoto

Walking through Gion feels like stepping into old Japan. The wooden teahouses, narrow streets, and soft glow of lanterns give the district a quiet, timeless charm. We wandered slowly, watching people in yukata, and even caught a glimpse of a geisha slipping through an alley.
It’s peaceful but full of stories from traditional shops to quiet shrines tucked between buildings. Gion is best enjoyed unhurried, with a sense of wonder for the culture that still lives in every corner.
