Exploring art, architecture, temples and markets in Kaohsuing

Don’t miss the Love Pier and Pier 2 cultural area when visiting Kaohsuing.

Recommend starting the day with a run or walk along the Love River, finishing with a well deserved coffee from one of the many coffee shops near the end ☕️

Then, explore some of the interesting architecture, specifically the Music Centre, which was designed by a Spanish architecture firm. You’ll find a small market with food and vintage clothing stalls, and musicians alongside the waterfront, creating a very chilled atmosphere.

Keep walking alongside the water to get to the Pier 2 cultural area, which is filled with street art and interesting sculptures. The side streets of the converted buildings contain shops by innovative designers.

At night, the area comes alive with music 🎶, and multiple markets with delicious food 🍢🥡
