Hong Kong-Okinawa Miyako Island round-trip route launched

HK Express has announced the resumption of its seasonal Hong Kong to Okinawa Miyako (Shimoji Island) route starting June 27, 2025. The route will operate four round-trip flights weekly between Hong Kong International Airport and Miyako Shimojishima Airport, with flight numbers UO814 and UO815. This resumed Miyako (Shimoji Island) route is currently the only direct flight from Hong Kong to this destination. Together with existing routes to Naha on Okinawa's main island and Ishigaki, HK Express becomes the only airline offering direct flights from Hong Kong to all three major airports in Okinawa Prefecture. Miyako (Shimoji Island), part of the Miyako Islands, is renowned for its stunning beaches and rich marine ecosystem, making it a paradise for beach lovers. Additionally, Miyako Island's culinary delights such as Miyako beef, Okinawa soba noodles, and the seasonal Miyako mangoes available from June to August are major attractions.
