The road is rough but the scenery is beautiful, I will definitely come again

Shangri-La is truly breathtaking! The hidden gem, Wudi Lake, showed me what a paradise on earth looks like. Although the journey was tough, it was absolutely worth it💙

🚗 Self-driving experience:
The mountain road is 100 times harder to drive than I imagined! The second half is all gravel roads and hairpin turns, poor little sedan lasted only three seconds. I highly recommend renting an SUV. We even saw two cars break down on the way (shivering.jpg). But when the snow-capped mountains suddenly appeared in the side mirror, all the fatigue was worth it!

🌊 Secret spot checklist:
1. Depart early in the morning to catch the lake shrouded in mist; when the sunlight shines down, it looks unreal
2. Remember to bring a drone! The bird’s-eye view of the emerald lake center is stunning
3. There are mani stones and prayer flags by the lake, perfect for photos
4. Be sure to go around to the opposite shore of the lake to see the full reflection of the snow mountains

💡 Practical tips:
• Altitude is over 4000 meters, remember to bring an oxygen bottle
• No supply stations on the road, bring enough snacks and water
• Best photo time is before 10 AM
• Recommend wearing waterproof shoes, the grass by the lake is very damp

I really didn’t expect Shangri-La to hide such a treasure. Although the clouds were too thick to see the full snow mountain view that day, the lake surface looked like a spilled palette of colors, and I’ve already decided to come back for a second visit in autumn!
