Suzhou Museum, a free attraction, requires online registration and reservations. The fiber optic projection is beautiful, and there are many Suzhou-related artifacts to admire. It's well worth the visit.

Hangzhou's new tourist area, Pingyao, and the Lion Grove Café are also very atmospheric. West Lake was especially crowded with students during a school outing, and the flower fields at Prince Bay Park are absolutely stunning and a must-photograph.

Liangzhu Grand Hotel offers a nice environment and a comfortable stay, though the breakfast area is relatively crowded.
