Shinhotaka: Fairytale-like forest scenery

There is the only double-decker cable car in Japan, which takes you to the top of the mountain at an altitude of 2,156 meters.
When the sky is clear, you can see the Japanese Alps in the distance.
Although the outlook is not good when it snows, the scenery along the trail is very beautiful!
The big trees on both sides are covered with layers of snow. Walking on the snowy road really makes you feel like you are in a fairy tale world.
The observatory here also has a cute mailbox on the top of the mountain.

If you want to walk on the trail when it snows, it is recommended to wear waterproof clothing and non-slip shoes. Otherwise, some places are still quite slippery and it will be very difficult to walk.
Then remember to wear gloves or your fingers will be super cold~~
